Position Summary
The Permitting Research Executive supports the Planning, Design, and Permitting teams by conducting research and gathering information required for project planning and approvals.
This role involves researching permit requirements, reviewing land records and plats, coordinating with jurisdictions and utility providers, and preparing documentation to support permitting and design teams.
Candidates with strong research, analytical, and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Planning and Permitting teams by conducting research on permit requirements and jurisdictional guidelines.
- Perform plat research and land record reviews and assist in obtaining required documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to collect project-related information.
- Assist in requesting and organizing utility data and maintaining documentation.
- Contact jurisdictions to gather information on local engineering standards and permitting requirements.
- Review available information related to ROW (Right of Way), easements, and property ownership to identify potential constraints.
- Prepare and organize documentation to support permit engineers and design teams.
- Research previously approved permits or public records when required information is not readily available.
- Maintain accurate records and update internal tracking systems.
- Support internal processes and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Skills and Proficiencies
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Good documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to review and interpret basic technical documents, maps, or GIS data (preferred)
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Basic knowledge of telecom, GIS, CAD, or permitting systems is a plus but not required
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, GIS, or a related field preferred, but not mandatory
- Candidates with strong research, coordination, and documentation skills are encouraged to apply
