GIS Systems Administrator

We are seeking a talented individual to join our GIS team as a GIS Systems Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and managing components of ArcGIS Enterprise, including integrating GIS and database software, as well as writing automations, scripts and configuring front end applications to aid in system management.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage components of ArcGIS Enterprise (version 11.3 & above), ensuring optimal system performance and availability.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, following high availability (HA) practices, including the expansion of the existing PostgreSQL server infrastructure.
• Developing and Maintaining ArcGIS Applications like ArcGIS Pro, Experience builder, ArcGIS Survey123, ArcGIS Fieldmap etc.
• Work closely with the GIS team to integrate GIS and database software, ensuring smooth data flow and system interoperability.
• Develop and maintain automations and scripts using ArcPy and other relevant programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Powershell) to streamline system management tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, providing timely technical support and problem resolution.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability to maintain 100% uptime.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in GIS, database administration, and system administration, proactively recommending improvements and implementing relevant technologies.

Requirements:

• Experience in IT or programming, demonstrating a solid understanding of computer systems and how they communicate and store data.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server,
• Proficiency in systems administration, with experience installing and configuring software components on both Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with SQL Databases including installation, configuration, and management in an HA architecture.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Suits of applications like ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Survey123, Fieldmap etc
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and their installation, configuration, and management.
• Experience working with command-line interfaces (e.g., Terminal, CMD, PowerShell) for system administration tasks.
• Programming knowledge in Python and JavaScript.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, or similar) is preferred but not required.
