Job Title: Civil Engineer EA Position in Professional Services/Renewable Engineering

 Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Apply advanced drafting skills to produce accurate and professional design documents.
  • Work with contours, slopes, grading, elevations, and surface data for site development projects.
  • Assist in cut-and-fill calculations and apply basic earthwork and grading concepts.
  • Utilize northing/easting coordinates for site layouts and mapping.
  • Interpret and prepare topographic maps for project planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate design inputs and ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Manage and organize project data using PDFs and Excel sheets.
  • Maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all deliverables.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 0-2 years of design or engineering experience related to civil engineering design

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Strong drafting skills with attention to precision and detail.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD features including layers and xfers’.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of contours, terrain interpretation, slopes and grading fundamentals, elevations and topographic mapping, northing/easting coordinate systems, cut-and-fill and basic earthwork principles, surface drainage and runo behavior, and basic surveying concepts.
  • Basic concepts of hydrology, soil erosion, sedimentations.
  • Ability to interpret and work with topographic maps.
  • Competence in handling PDFs and Excel for project documentation.
  • Familiarity with QGIS for geospatial data handling and mapping.
  • Excellent learning attitude, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in Autodesk Civil 3D or QGIS are preferred.
