📣A bit about the role
As the Reliability Lead for a large manufacturing, warehouse and order fulfilment site; Sam’s Kitchen, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless execution of maintenance on our ‘Productive Assets’ across both facilities.
This position requires a planned approach to maintain continuous production, enhance operational efficiencies, and guarantee the safety of our processes.
As a key member of the day’s engineering function, you will lead efforts; in tandem with the overall operations team to implement preventative maintenance schedules, leveraging your expertise to optimise the reliability of critical equipment and systems.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead and shape the reliability practices within our manufacturing, warehouse, and fulfilment operations.

Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive reliability improvement plan aligned with
Business objectives to ensure continuous production and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Autonomous Maintenance practices into the operational teams and processes.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Design and execute preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery to minimise downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Utilise predictive maintenance techniques and technologies to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Key Super user for our Maintenance Management System (MMP)
- Management of Equipment service contracts, negotiating with suppliers to improve quality of service and reduction of cost.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct risk assessments on equipment and processes to identify potential failure points and develop mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure that reliability practices align with legal compliance requirements.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of spare parts and support for critical equipment.
- Overarching responsibility for developing the Site Stores strategy
Performance Monitoring:
- Ensure accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and reliability metrics.
- Generate regular reports for highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
- Analyse data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement.
- Overall budget responsibility of c. £1.3M/ 6 million PLN
🔎 A bit about you
- Have designed and executed preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery to minimise downtime and improve equipment up-time
- Level of English to B1 level/Level of Polish to B1 level
- Experienced in Inventory Management (or Stores) who can collaborate well with the internal engineering team and external suppliers/vendors
- Strong engineering background including completion of a recognised apprenticeship or job experience equivalent.
- Qualified to Bachelor of Science (Polish: Inżynier) level in an Engineering discipline.
- Excellent Communication skills, able to engage with shift operations teams
- Strong experience of developing a Maintenance Management System
- A strong engineering leader with broad working knowledge of relevant safety legislation.
- Well practised planning, organisation and scheduling skills.
- Easily approachable with good interpersonal skills, with creative thinking and analytical skills
- Loves dogs (naturally)

In 2023, Butternut Box acquired PsiBufet, a Polish brand of fresh dog food sold directly to consumers. This acquisition enables the construction of a new production plant in Zabrze, which will eventually serve multiple European markets. The new facility in Zabrze covers nearly 40,000 m² and will eventually have eight production lines, reaching a capacity of 1,200 tons per week.

- 👨🏭 Recruitment and team training – New employees will be trained by the experienced team at Rudie’s Kitchen (UK).
