We are looking for high-energy, driven professionals with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude and natural sales instincts. As a Sales Consultant you will act as part of a North America Sales Team hunting new business within specific life science territories. Ideal candidates should be eager to advance in our organization by demonstrating their ability to be tenacious self-starters every day.

You will be the first point of contact between FirstWord Group and potential new clients at the beginning of our sales cycle. You will be the voice of the company focusing on uncovering unmet needs for our customers becoming a product and industry expert in the process, using that knowledge to win new business leads.

Overall Objectives

The objective is to achieve exponential growth from new and existing accounts and provide outstanding client service. As a growth business unit, FirstWord is an entrepreneurial, client-focused culture and resourcefulness and perseverance are key. We are looking for someone with an ability to build strong and productive relationships with a wide network of clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will play a key role in building the client base for FirstWord with the responsibility for selling FirstWord HealthTech+ and Digital Health Dossier PRO subscriptions:
    • Building new business from accounts that have not yet been penetrated.
    • Converting awareness into premium subscriptions at accounts that are aware of FirstWord but have not yet upgraded to a FirstWord premium edition.
    • Maximizing rates of renewal and revenue development through proactive account management and relationship building.
    • Identifying and closing new prospects.
    • Promptly and professionally following-up on in-bound leads
    • Build strong and lasting relationships with digital health and medical technology professional service companies of all sizes. FirstWord recognizes the great potential that exists in securing deals with small to medium size companies, as well as with the large multinational corporations.
    • Assess feedback from team and corporate subscribers in order to identify new content or other opportunities to answer unmet needs.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive account management.
    • Add significant value to the FirstWord international sales team through the sharing of knowledge, experience and information, and by promoting a consultative selling approach both internally and externally.

  • Reports in to Senior Vice President

 

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes

  • Candidates with business development experience in the area of subscription licensing and content sales to the healthcare market strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to reach and exceed targets and a determination to drive performance ever higher.
  • Driven sales focused professional with proven ability to sell in the B2B market.
  • Excellent understanding of the healthcare markets (pharma, digital health, device, etc).
  • Superior communication skills across mediums (in-person, phone, written)
  • Target focused with proven ability to achieve targets
  • Team player but also able to work under own initiative
  • Ability to quickly become expert in FirstWord product line and the competitive market
  • Previous experience selling healthcare news and marketing intelligence products a definite plus.
  • Attention to detail with competent standard of computer literacy (MS Office, SalesForce.com, etc.)
