Position Summary
Consultant’s play a pivotal role in helping grow Medefield’s market share and move the business forward.
This role focuses on nurturing and developing existing client relationships but also looking for new client opportunities and turning those into commissioned sales.
We are looking for an energetic, go-getter that is keen to get stuck in and build strong relationships with our existing clients but also build their own client networks with a focus on delivering consultative value add experience for clients.
Key Accountabilities
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Sales Generation;
- Project Bidding. Evaluating client proposal requests and working independently with internal resources to prepare proposals for your respective clients.
- Following up on opportunities and identifying aspects that would help you secure a project and closing the sale with the approval to move forward on the project.
- Identifying new sales opportunities and working on appropriate strategies to partner with new clients that would lead to new sales opportunities.
- Client Management;
- Building strong client partnerships by providing clients with consultative advice that they value and helps them succeed.
- Play a positive role in setting and managing client expectations and ensuring outstanding client satisfaction.
- Consultation and Value Add;
- Providing valued and insightful research and fielding advice when required, to help your clients deliver better insights and help you secure new projects.
- Understand, communicate and sell the entire Medefield product line, ensuring clients and prospects are aware of Medefield’s full suite of services and that they consider Medefield for all of these services.
- CRM and Project System Updates
- Maintaining your client database on a regular basis
- Recording all sales and projects according to business rules and policies.
- Periodic mail-outs of marketing materials and industry information to your clients
Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- True team player
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Ability to think out the box and challenge the norm
- Ability to build strong client relationships and to identify opportunities
- Understanding of market research (not mandatory)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years account management or business development experience
- Consumer or pharmaceutical market research experience would be welcomed, but not mandatory
- Proven ability in managing client relationships
- Good verbal and written English communication
