Position Summary
We are currently looking for a Scrum Master to support agile teams across two of our key product divisions. Reporting to the Product Owner, you will be responsible for coordinating Agile processes to ensure teams collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions—while balancing client needs with broader business objectives.
In this role, you will help drive continuous improvement, foster a results-oriented and collaborative culture, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to manage and prioritize the product backlog. Your focus will be on ensuring sprint goals are met, team momentum is sustained, and blockers are removed efficiently.
Success in this role requires strong communication and facilitation skills to align expectations across multiple teams, build trusted relationships, and maintain transparency. A solid understanding of both the business landscape and supporting technology will be key to enabling strategic execution across divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles.
- Act as a servant leader to the development team, removing impediments and promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure the team understands and delivers on priorities.
- Assist in creating and refining user stories, ensuring they are well-defined, actionable, and aligned with the product vision.
- Coach team members on Agile best practices and principles, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Monitor and track sprint progress, identifying potential risks and ensuring timely delivery of commitments.
- Promote open communication and a collaborative work environment among cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate the resolution of conflicts and challenges that may arise during the development process.
- Utilize data and metrics to provide insights on team performance and suggest actionable improvements.
- Support the team in maintaining a sustainable pace of development.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Professional Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in a healthcare or information services setting.
- In-depth understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Experience working with distributed or global teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management platforms.
- Experience in user story creation and refinement to support team and product success.
- This role requires a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of how to meet the needs of a global audience in the healthcare and pharma space.
