Our primary business purpose is to help clients and supporters increase the effectiveness of activities pertaining to scientific communication, medical education and the maintenance of clinician audience intimacy.

Position Summary 

We are currently looking for a combined Scrum Master (60%) / Product Owner (40%) to support our Engagement Platform / Adtech agile team. Reporting to the VP Product Management, you will be responsible for coordinating Agile processes to ensure teams collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions—while balancing client needs with broader business objectives.

In this role, you will help drive continuous improvement, foster a results-oriented and collaborative culture, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to manage and prioritize the product backlog. Your focus will be on ensuring sprint goals are met, team momentum is sustained, and blockers are removed efficiently.

Success in this role requires strong communication and facilitation skills to align expectations across multiple teams, build trusted relationships, and maintain transparency. A solid understanding of both the business landscape and supporting technology will be key to enabling strategic execution across divisions.

Key Responsibilities 

Scrum Master

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring adherence to Agile Scrum principles.
  • Act as a servant leader to the development team, removing impediments and promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Work with other peer Product Owners to ensure the team understands and delivers on priorities.
  • Coach team members on Agile best practices and principles, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and track sprint progress, identifying potential risks and ensuring timely delivery of commitments.
  • Promote open communication and a collaborative work environment among cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the resolution of conflicts and challenges that may arise during the development process.
  • Utilize data and metrics to provide insights on team performance and suggest actionable improvements.
  • Support the team in maintaining a sustainable pace of development.
  • Support the development team in release management, working within the deployment process.

Product Owner

  • Own the outcomes of part of the Engagement Platform, understand business needs and determine possible solutions to address them.
  • Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Use data to measure problems and opportunities, and size of impact of potential solutions.
  • Create and refine user stories, ensuring they are well-defined, actionable, and aligned with the product outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish, refine and prioritize features, gather feedback, and validate deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and obstacles that may affect project timelines or product success.
  • Help monitor product performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Professional Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) required.
  • 6+ years experience with 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in a healthcare or information services setting.
  • Experience with marketing technology in a product owner / scrum master capacity, particularly AdTech is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience working with distributed or global teams is a plus.
  • Experience working with product operating systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with using data to influence decision making is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management platforms.
  • Experience in user story creation and refinement to support team and product success.
  • This role requires a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of how to meet the needs of a global audience in the healthcare and pharma space.
