The person we’re looking for:  

We are looking for a Senior Producer to drive the execution and delivery of large-scale AAA game maps, environment art, and world content.

This role is responsible for managing internal and external environment art production pipelines to ensure high-quality large-scale map content is delivered on schedule and aligned with creative, technical, and performance goals. The ideal candidate has extensive experience shipping AAA open-world environments and managing environment art outsourcing, external art vendors, and distributed art production teams at scale.

This position requires exceptional production leadership, vendor management expertise, and a deep understanding of AAA environment art pipelines, world-building workflows, and large-map content production.

This role is in-office five days a week in Bellevue, WA and reports to the Lead Producer.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Production Management

  • Lead the execution and delivery of large-scale AAA map and world-development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain production schedules, staffing plans, milestone tracking, and delivery timelines across internal and external teams.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination between art, design, engineering, technical art, and production teams to ensure successful map delivery.
  • Identify production risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early, and proactively drive resolution strategies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, staffing concerns, and milestone progress to stakeholders and leadership.

External Development & Vendor Management:

  • Lead the sourcing, evaluation, onboard, and manage external development studios, vendors, and distributed production teams.
  • Establish clear scopes of work, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and quality expectations for external partners.
  • Serve as the primary production point of contact for external teams, ensuring strong communication, accountability, and alignment throughout development.
  • Drive milestone reviews, partner feedback, and production escalations to ensure successful execution and consistent delivery quality.
  • Partner with production leadership and business teams on vendor planning, staffing coordination, and external development needs.

World Development Pipeline & Quality Oversight:

  • Partner with internal leads to define map production workflows, documentation standards, asset requirements, and integration processes.
  • Ensure internally and externally developed content meets visual quality, gameplay, technical, and performance standards.
  • Oversee reviews and revision cycles for world content, environment assets, terrain, lighting, and related deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement of production workflows, communication structures, and tracking systems to support large-scale map development.

Team Coordination & Communication:

  • Build strong working relationships across internal departments and external partners.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between stakeholders, creative leadership, production teams, and vendors.
  • Support onboarding and ramp-up processes for external contributors and distributed teams.
  • Help establish scalable production practices for long-term world-development support.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in game production, project management, outsourcing management, or external development roles within the video game industry.
  • Proven experience managing the development and delivery of large-scale AAA game maps, open worlds, or environment content.
  • Strong understanding of game art production workflows, including environment art, terrain development, lighting, asset integration, optimization, and technical dependencies.
  • Experience managing external studios, outsourcing partners, and distributed production teams at scale.
  • Experience shipping AAA PC or console titles.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of AAA environment and world-development pipelines.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Expertise with production planning, milestone management, scheduling, and dependency tracking across complex development initiatives.
  • Proficiency with project management and tracking tools such as JIRA, ShotGrid, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with real-time game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Experience managing scope, staffing, quality, timelines, budgets, and production risk across large-scale projects.
  • Proven ability to manage distributed development teams, external vendors, and multi-team production pipelines.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting production demands
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong risk management instincts
  • Ability to drive cross-functional alignment, maintain execution momentum, and support delivery across complex production initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with international vendors and external development partners
  • Familiarity with technical art, environment pipelines, or world-building systems
  • Experience helping scale external development operations or outsourcing strategies
  • Multilingual communication skills are a plus
