About the role: 

We are looking for a senior growth data analyst to join our data team and foster a culture of data-driven decision making that drives topline results. You will use your expertise in data analysis and advanced modeling skills to measure the impact of various growth initiatives and provide recommendations & insights to key stakeholders. You'll collaborate closely with marketing, brokerage, product managers, and other cross-functional partners to analyze how metrics & trends impact overall performance.

The ideal candidate combines high proficiency in our current data tech stack and best-in-class analytical skills, who is a strategic thinker and has a strong understanding of our business fundamentals.

This role reports directly to the Head of Strategic Finance. 

This role is based out of our New York City office and is onsite 4 days a week.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead analytics solutions end-to-end, including data gathering, modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques - predictive modeling, user segmentation, and customer LTV analysis - to understand customer behavior, forecast outcomes, and measure success of our growth & lifecycle marketing efforts.
  • Build and manage impactful reporting, dashboards, data models, and tools to support cross-functional teams and further our self-service reporting capabilities.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of our users and product, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency that move core business metrics.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other data team members to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate across the organization working closely with Marketing, Product, Brokerage, and Finance.

Who you are: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in a data-professional capacity such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, and/or Analytics Engineer, with a proven track record of driving business impact.
  • 2+ years specifically working in growth and/or marketing analytics.
  • Fundamental understanding of D2C businesses and unit economics.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, preferably at another consumer fintech. 
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can operate autonomously throughout an organization across all levels and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Expert SQL skills to build datasets that enable ad-hoc analyses and efficient visualization.
  • Advanced Python skills (or another scripting language used for data science & forecasting analysis).
  • Expertise in modern data stack & tools, preferably with Snowflake, dbt, Looker, HighTouch, and Segment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
