About The Role & You

The Software Engineer II takes on a broad scope of responsibility to deliver key solutions for customers and the company. They demonstrate technical leadership by mentoring peers, demonstrating design skills, conducting thoughtful code reviews, and successfully delivering key customer-impacting features with successful outcomes.

In this role, you will begin to see and influence the bigger picture by making design and implementation decisions that balance immediate needs with long-term scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Software engineering is changing rapidly with AI, and our team has embraced this technology to improve velocity, increase test coverage, and produce more readable, documented code. We expect any candidate to have a solid understanding of AI software engineering tools, and experience applying them as a force multiplier.

What You Will Do

Implement and Evolve Best Practices

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while continually improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes. Elevate the team's technical output by conducting high-quality code reviews that provide constructive feedback and reinforce best practices. Apply design patterns and architectural principles to build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. Additionally, identify opportunities for refactoring, reducing technical debt, and enhancing processes to drive long-term efficiency and quality.

Act as a Technologist and Mentor

Drive medium-sized projects from design to deployment with limited guidance, applying strong technical judgment to deliver solutions that are both efficient and reliable. Contribute to the team's technical direction by breaking down complex problems into manageable components and collaborating on clear, effective solutions. Act as a mentor by sharing best practices, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of learning that helps grow the team's collective skills and capabilities. Consistently balance the need for timely delivery with maintaining high standards of code quality and long-term system health.

Deliver Value with Broader Impact

Partner with stakeholders-including product managers, designers, account managers, and support teams-to translate needs into well-scoped, impactful engineering solutions. Anticipate the downstream effects of technical decisions to ensure solutions align with business goals and overall product direction. Additionally, contribute to defining technical roadmaps while identifying potential risks and opportunities for innovation that strengthen long-term success.

Skills and Experience

Professional Qualifications

  • ASP.NET MVC, .NET, C#, MSSQL, React, Javascript, jQuery, HTML/CSS, Azure, DevOps. Leverage AI as a productivity multiplier to solve business problems and improve internal processes.
  • Solid problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to tackle more complex and ambiguous issues.
  • Proficiency in software development best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and testing strategies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end features or services of moderate complexity.
  • Familiarity with system architecture concepts and ability to articulate trade-offs.Prior experience mentoring peers and sharing knowledge and best practices to strengthen team capabilities.

Compensation

This role pays a market-competitive base salary and is eligible to participate in the company's annual bonus plan.

You may also be eligible for our equity incentive program that awards high-performing employees on an annual basis. These option grants are awarded at the CEO's discretion to acknowledge employees who have made significant contributions to achieving our goals.
