This is a full-time W2 position hybrid in Bozeman, Montana.

The primary mission of the Marketplace segment is to help consumers “shop their values” and put purpose behind their purchases. PublicSquare’s Financial Technology segment includes Credova, a consumer financing and payments company. Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in the Fintech industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records: Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, prepare customer invoices, and track receivables.
- General Ledger Accounting: Assist with general ledger maintenance, perform account reconciliations, and prepare adjusting journal entries.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Tax Compliance: Support with tax filings, audits, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Budget and Forecasting Support: Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support business planning and strategy.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and schedules during internal and external audits.
- Other Duties: Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of corporate accounting experience preferred. FinTech or related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Excel. Sage Intacct a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
