Pulley is growing quickly with over 4,000 customers including startups like Linear, Runway, Fathom, and Roam.

Our trajectory is fueled by top investors like Founders’ Fund, Stripe, General Catalyst, Caffeinated Capital, 8vc, Elad Gil, among other great angels. All of our growth has been organic, and we’re growing the team to meet the demand.

🌟 About the role

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Professional Services to lead the expansion and scaling of how Pulley delivers professional services to founders. This is a high-impact role for someone who can blend operational leadership, technical collaboration, and strategic execution to build scalable service offerings that meet evolving customer needs.

You'll own the strategy and execution for launching new service delivery capabilities tailored to venture-backed and private equity-backed companies, designing efficient customer-facing workflows, and building internal service teams. You'll partner closely with Engineering to define and ship the internal tooling that makes service delivery fast and efficient, while establishing the operational foundation for Pulley's services business to scale.

🛠 What you'll do

  • Build the Foundation for Scalable Service Delivery
    • Design and launch customer-facing workflows that make it easy for Pulley customers to request and receive professional services.
    • Create the operational infrastructure needed to deliver services efficiently and consistently.
    • Establish quality standards, intake processes, and service delivery frameworks from the ground up.
    • Partner with external service providers and firms to deliver offerings that can't be supported internally.
  • Launch New Service Offerings Based on Customer Demand
    • Identify which services to prioritize based on customer needs and market opportunities.
    • Build out new service teams to deliver these offerings.
    • Create playbooks, processes, and training materials that enable teams to execute efficiently.
  • Partner with Engineering to Build Internal Tools
    • Work closely with Engineering to define what internal tooling is needed to make service delivery faster and more efficient.
    • Translate service team needs into product requirements.
    • Help prioritize the engineering roadmap based on operational impact.
  • Hire and Lead Service Teams
    • Recruit and develop team members as new service offerings launch.
    • Build a high-performing culture focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
    • Set goals, track metrics, and drive continuous improvement.

🙌 What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operational processes, teams, or service offerings from 0 to 1.
  • Deep understanding of venture-backed and private equity-backed companies and their unique operational and service needs.
  • People management experience or demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Experience working with or within high-growth startups.
  • Technical fluency and comfort partnering with Engineering teams (prior experience defining product requirements is a plus).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities evolve.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making, using metrics to drive prioritization and improvement.

✨ Why work at Pulley?

  • Shape the next chapter - Our product has real traction and a strong foundation, but we’re still early enough in our journey where your work will directly shape the company’s trajectory as we scale.
  • Empower founders - Managing equity shouldn’t get in the way of building a company. You’ll help founders focus on what matters most - turning ideas into reality.
  • Work with a high-performing and passionate team - We’re thoughtful about creating a team that is excited about building a great company together. Here are our operating principles:
    • Principles over playbooks - Understand the why.

    • Conviction over consensus - Have the courage to back your ideas strongly, even when they defy the status quo. Disagree and commit.
    • Proactive over passive - Drive your own clarity and pull for context.
