Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to support an adult neuro caseload. This flexible opportunity is open to both Band 5 therapists who have completed their RCSLT NQP competencies (for communication-only caseloads), and Band 6 therapists with a postgraduate dysphagia qualification and experience managing dysphagia independently.
The successful candidate will work with adults presenting with a range of neurological conditions, delivering high-quality speech and language therapy interventions remotely or in a flexible location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a dysphagia caseload (Band 6).
- Provide assessment and therapy for communication disorders in adults with neurological conditions.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
- Use SystemOne (preferred) for clinical record keeping and caseload management.
- Contribute to service development and patient-centred care planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Be a full member of RCSLT and HCPC registered.
- Have a postgraduate qualification in dysphagia (Band 6 applicants).
- Have at least 1 year of experience independently managing a dysphagia caseload.
- Stroke experience is not essential.
- Be confident in working with adult neuro caseloads.
- Be proactive, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
