Job Title: Consultant Histopathologist  
Location: South Wales
Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time 
Salary: £91,722 - £119,079 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Consultant Histopathologist to join our client’s team of dedicated Cellular Pathologists. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a vibrant and historic town, with a rich cultural heritage and modern amenities.

Key Responsibilities:
As a histopathologist, you will diagnose and study diseases in tissues and organs by examining tissue samples, usually small biopsies, to detect changes that explain a patient's illness. You will work closely with other doctors, scientists, and healthcare staff to manage patient care effectively.

Typical Job Plan:
A typical day for a histopathologist may involve spending time in the laboratory processing tissue specimens, making diagnoses at the microscope, and writing reports on patients for doctors.

Qualifications Needed: 
• Full registration and licence to practise with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register in Histopathology (or be eligible for registration within six months of interview).
• Applicants that are UK trained must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
• FRCPath (part 1 and part 2)
