A hospital based in Sussex on the South Coast of England and seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the high-quality patient care in a supportive and innovative environment.

Salary: £99,532 - £131,964 per annum

Salary Period: Yearly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert histopathological diagnostic services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff.
• Contribute to clinical audit and research activities.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance standards.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
• Full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) within 6 months of interview.

Histopathology Department

The Histopathology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and provides comprehensive diagnostic services. The department is committed to maintaining high standards of practice and fostering a collaborative environment.

Typical Job Plan

Clinical Duties: 8 sessions per week, including reporting, MDT meetings, and clinical consultations.

Teaching and Training: 1 session per week dedicated to the education of junior staff and trainees.

Research and Audit: 1 session per week for clinical audit, research, and personal development.
