The AHP team at Pulse is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist with a passion for neuro-disabilities and dysphagia? Join our private, busy, and vibrant centre in Newcastle, where you will provide expert input to a caseload of individuals with complex speech, language, communication, and dysphagia needs.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

You will manage a specialist caseload of pupils with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, language disorders, and social communication difficulties. You will collaborate with onsite Occupational Therapists, the Pastoral team, and Academic and Boarding Staff to integrate communication targets into the educational setting. You will conduct therapy sessions in dedicated therapy rooms, working closely with a small number of pupils multiple times per week. You will participate in regular internal and external clinical supervision and weekly CPD meetings.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
  • HCPC registration
  • Significant dysphagia experience at Band 7 or 8a level.
  • Completion of newly qualified competency framework
