The AHP team at Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate child Speech & Language Therapist to join our dynamic team in Stockton on Tees. Our centre is dedicated to supporting individuals with challenging and complex needs, helping them progress through a specialized neuro-behavioural rehabilitation programme.
 

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

Based with Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Trust, you will work 3 days a week in the community on Early Supported Discharge for Stroke. This is an immediate need for potential on going. You will require neuro skills and knowledge, specifically in stroke and dysphagia competencies. The caseload includes mixed communication and swallowing impairments. You must also have the ability to drive and own a car for travel between patient visits in their homes. The catchment area covers SW Surrey, including Guildford, Cranleigh, Godalming, Haslemere, and other semi-rural areas.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

    • HCPC Registration: Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
    • Dysphagia Management: Experience in managing a caseload involving the assessment and treatment of dysphagia and trach competent
    • Experience of writing EHC plans
    • Able to support candidates that have, stammering, dysphagia, DLD, Speech delay/disorder, neurodisability & developmental communication disorders
