Role:  Ward based Clinical Pharmacist 
Banding: Band 8a
Location: Westcliff-on-sea
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30pm
Rate: £34 - £39 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ward-based clinical pharmacy services, including dispensary cover, discharge medication management, outpatient services, and homecare prescription screening. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing ward-based clinical pharmacy services, covering the dispensary, managing discharge medications, and screening homecare prescriptions. You will also support outpatient services, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Your role will involve collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Up to date GPHC registration.
    • Relevant Pharmacy qualification.
    • Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
  • Desirable:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
