Job Title: Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist

Contract: 12-months fixed-term, with CESR support
Rate: £105,504 to £139,882 a year pro rata per annum

We are looking for a Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology to join an established Gastroenterology service in Birmingham. This role involves providing comprehensive gastroenterological care and supporting the digestive health service. We’re seeking 2 dynamic and forward-thinking Consultants to join the Gastroenterology team at a renowned NHS Trust in London. The post is a 10 PA appointment, with the post-holder expected to undertake 2 endoscopy lists and clinics each week, while participating in in-patient ward work reviewing acute Gastroenterology admissions. The post holder will also participate in the on-call GI Bleed rota. CESR support can be offered to applicants wanting to pursue this pathway to GMC-specialist registration.

Qualifications and Experiences     

  • Medical degree and valid medical license.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Applicants must have GMC registration or be eligible to join the register within 6-months.
  • Applicants for the substantive position must have GMC specialist registration or be eligible to join the specialist register within 6-months.
  • Proven experience as a Consultant in Gastroenterology.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in Gastroenterology procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with medical advancements.
