Job Title: Consultant Histopathologist (GI)
Grade: Consultant
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands 
Contract: 12-months fixed-term, with CESR support
Rate: £105,504 to £139,882 a year pro rata per annum

We are looking for a Consultant in Histopathology to join an established Histopathology service in Birmingham. This role involves providing comprehensive Histopathology care and supporting the imaging service. We are seeking a Consultant in Histopathology with a special interest in GI Pathology to join a renowned NHS Trust in the Midlands. The successful candidate will contribute to the general workload and provide specialist GI pathology services. Histopathology provides a reporting service to the Trust, the community, and local private hospitals. In addition, there is an opportunity to boost income from private work, which is shared equally between the consultant team. CESR support can be offered to applicants wanting to pursue this pathway to GMC-specialist registration.

Qualifications and Experiences     

• Medical degree and valid medical license.
• FRCR or equivalent.
• Applicants must have GMC registration or be eligible to join the register within 6-months.
• Proven experience as a Consultant in Histopathology.
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in Histopathology procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with medical advancements.
