We are seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented Locum Junior Procurement Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in Kings Lynn. This role involves working closely with the clinical teams to replace high-cost, branded drugs with more cost-effective alternatives that provide the same or better outcomes for patients. What will your responsibilities be:
As a Locum Junior Procurement Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement pharmacy technician in managing the procurement of medications. Your primary duties will include working with clinical teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, ensuring the availability of cost-effective alternatives, and maintaining accurate records of procurement activities. You will also assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, manage stock levels, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Your role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients while optimizing the use of resources.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or procurement setting
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Familiarity with NHS procurement policies and procedures
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed procurement decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
