Banding: Band 6 or Band 7

Duration: 3 months  
Rate: £24 - £32 per hour 
Working hours: Full time / Part time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Band 6 and Band 7 Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapists to join our dedicated client's team in St Helen's. This role is essential in providing specialised speech and language therapy services to children within the community. The successful candidates will work collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to support the communication needs of children. 

What will your responsibilities be:

The Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children. This includes developing and implementing individualised therapy plans, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions as needed. The role involves providing training and support to parents and educators, conducting home visits, and maintaining detailed records of therapy sessions. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and participation in service development initiatives are also key aspects of this position.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Extensive experience in paediatric speech and language therapy
  • Strong knowledge of child development and communication disorders
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a community setting
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
