Working hours:  Saturdays & Sundays, 09:00am –17:00pm 

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Band 7 Sonographer to join a supportive imaging team in Swindon. This weekend and bank holiday-only role is ideal for a professional who is confident in performing general ultrasound scans and is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic services. The position offers flexibility and a chance to contribute meaningfully to patient care during critical service hours.

What will your responsibilities be:

The Sonographer will carry out a range of general ultrasound examinations in line with departmental protocols and clinical guidelines. Working independently, the role involves ensuring accurate image acquisition and interpretation, maintaining comprehensive patient records, and collaborating with clinical teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment. A strong focus on patient comfort, safety, and service efficiency is essential.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound
  • HCPC registration
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in general ultrasound
  • Competence in performing a wide range of general scans
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously during weekends and bank holidays
  • Commitment to high standards of clinical practice and patient care
