General Sonographer - Swansea Area

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled General Sonographer to join our imaging team in Swansea. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of high-quality ultrasound examinations, supporting the diagnosis and management of patients across various clinical specialties.

You will be working alongside radiologists, consultants, and other healthcare professionals in a supportive environment, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of general ultrasound scans, including:

  • Abdominal

  • Gynaecological & early pregnancy

  • Small parts (e.g., thyroid, testes, soft tissue)

  • Musculoskeletal (where competent)

  • Obstetric imaging (if applicable)

• Provide clear, accurate reports and escalate urgent findings appropriately.

• Deliver a safe, compassionate, and professional patient experience.

• Maintain excellent infection control, safety, and quality standards.

• Support the training and development of junior staff and students.

• Participate in audit, clinical governance, and service improvement activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current HCPC registration 

• Demonstrable experience in general sonography (minimum 12 months post-qualification preferred).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
