🧠 Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and confident Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to support a mainstream Further Education (FE) setting in North London. The role spans three campuses and involves providing communication and language support to approximately 70 students, many of whom benefit from small group or whole-class interventions rather than 1:1 therapy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist who enjoys working in education, delivering impactful therapy, upskilling staff, and supporting young adults in a collaborative environment. The role is available ASAP and will run for the duration of the academic year, ending on 4th July 2026.
🗺️ Location and Hours (30 per week)
The role involves working across three campuses, with designated hours as follows:

EN5 (Barnet)

Mondays: 6 hours

Tuesdays: 6.5 hours

N14 (Southgate)

Wednesdays: 6 hours

Thursdays: 6.5 hours

NW9 (Colindale)

Fridays: 5 hours

We are ideally looking for one therapist to cover all campuses, though flexible arrangements may be considered.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions for young adults in a mainstream FE setting.

Conduct small group sessions, occasional 1:1s, classroom observations, and contribute to staff training and upskilling.

Liaise closely with teaching staff, support workers, and families to embed communication strategies.

Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with students’ learning goals.

Maintain high-quality documentation and progress notes in line with professional standards.

Be an active contributor to a student-centred, inclusive education environment.
📚 Qualifications and Experience
To be considered, you must have:

A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

Current HCPC registration.
-
Substantial experience working in education settings, ideally within FE or post-16 environments.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.

A proactive approach to empowering education staff through coaching and modelling.

Confidence working independently across multiple sites.
