Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation centre in Leeds. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.
The centre provides an initial 12-week rehabilitation programme, which may be extended based on individual needs. The service is built on a neuro-behavioural approach, with a strong focus on enabling people to regain independence and rebuild their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation support workers.
- Contribute to personalised rehabilitation programmes that include clinical, educational, and therapeutic sessions.
- Support the development of personal, social, and domestic skills, guided leisure activities, and vocational training.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.
- Promote access to the local community and support behavioural management strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Be HCPC registered and a full member of RCSLT.
- Have experience working with adults in neurorehabilitation settings.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
- Be proactive, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
