Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist – Orthopaedics

Contract: Temporary/Locum 

Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join their MSK & OT Inpatients Department at Northern Devon District Hospital. This role focuses on providing specialist occupational therapy interventions for patients within orthopaedics, supporting recovery and facilitating safe discharges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
• Complete functional assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
• Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Proven experience in orthopaedics and MSK inpatient care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
