Salary: £24.00–£31.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time or part-time (up to 30 hours per week, flexible)
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join an Adult Acute team at Charing Cross Hospital. This role focuses on supporting patients within a benign ENT service, with a caseload including dysphagia and/or voice disorders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 therapist who is confident working independently in an acute setting. The role offers flexibility in working patterns, making it ideal for candidates seeking part-time or adaptable hours.
You will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with complex swallowing and communication needs, supporting their recovery and improving quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with dysphagia and/or voice disorders within an acute hospital setting.
• Independently manage a caseload within a benign ENT service.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy and rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient needs.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care planning and reviews.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Experience working with adult patients in an acute setting.
• Proven ability to independently manage dysphagia cases.
• Desirable: Experience in FEES and/or voice therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible and proactive approach.
