Contract: Until May 2026 (potential to extend)
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, 30‑minute unpaid break)
Job Overview
Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 6 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to join a community‑based children’s therapy service located around Green Wrythe Lane. This role focuses on early years intervention and dysphagia support for children under five, working within a well‑established community team.
You will carry out independent assessments, deliver early communication provision, and contribute to statutory processes, including EHCP reviews. The caseload includes children with a range of developmental needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete independent dysphagia assessments for children in community settings
- Conduct early years communication assessments and deliver targeted intervention
- Lead and contribute to EHCP reviews
- Support children with a range of developmental needs and disabilities
- Work with communication aids and devices, particularly for early years
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- HCPC‑registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Paediatric dysphagia experience/training (essential)
- Experience working with children under 5 (essential)
- Confident using AAC/communication aids
- Strong background in paediatric community practice
