Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Podiatrist to join Hertfordshire Community Trust on a locum basis. This is a community-focused role based in the St Albans area, offering the opportunity to work with a varied caseload, with a strong emphasis on diabetic foot care and lower limb management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within community settings, supporting patients to manage complex conditions and improve outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality podiatry services within a community setting
  • Manage a caseload with a focus on diabetic foot care and complications
  • Carry out assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of lower limb conditions
  • Provide nail surgery procedures where appropriate (local anaesthesia certified)
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care
  • Maintain accurate clinical records using SystemOne
  • Support health promotion and patient education initiatives

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registered Podiatrist
  • Certificate in local anaesthesia (essential)
  • Post-registration experience in diabetic care, ideally within NHS/community settings
  • Strong knowledge of lower limb complications associated with diabetes
  • Working knowledge of SystemOne
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for community role)
