PURE IN PRAGUE

Our R&D Second Home (alongside our Silicon Valley location) opened in Prague in January 2020, and we’ve experienced incredible growth since. Our Engineers tackle complex engineering challenges (from low-level system software to cloud computing) to innovate our cutting-edge products. Alongside our world-class Software Engineering teams, we have talented colleagues in Product Management, Sales, Finance, and HR, among other areas. We’ve built these teams with talent from across the globe.

FlashBlade Product Team

The Product Management team guides the roadmap for our Unified Fast File and Object product, FlashBlade. Product Managers define and drive features and capabilities, and are responsible for market and business analysis and product direction. The team collaborates with cross-functional teams in Engineering, the CTO office, Partners, Marketing, Sales, and Executive Staff. The Pure Storage Product Management team shapes the future of the all-flash array market.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

  • Developing and Executing Product Strategy: Define and evolve a comprehensive and sustainable product strategy, articulating a clear vision that differentiates Pure based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and emerging technology trends. This involves driving the execution of this strategy to build a high-growth business.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitive landscape assessments from both technical and business perspectives, accurately anticipating trends and gathering customer feedback to understand key issues, needs, and market trends, including competitive product use.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with customers, partners, the CTO, Sales and Marketing, and the executive team to identify, define, and articulate a winning use-case-centric go-to-market model. This includes establishing project scope and goals and providing guidance for program teams. Furthermore, engage with key account field sales teams and channel partners to support the sales process and drive customer engagement.
  • Product Roadmap and Development: Work closely with engineering to prioritize enhancements and develop a compelling product roadmap focused on key use cases. This includes guiding the roadmap to develop integrated workflows that streamline account and customer acquisition, subscription management, notifications, support handling, and analytics.
  • Performance Monitoring and Customer Success: Establish and monitor core customer journey metrics to ensure adoption of new products and features that drive customer renewals, purchases, and add-on services.
  • Strategic Advisory and Thought Leadership: Serve as a key strategic advisor on all technical and business matters related to the product area for the Pure executive team. Act as a key thought leader and participant within a cross-functional team focused on technical alignment and business development with key ecosystem partners.
  • Communication and Advocacy: Act as a key spokesperson and champion for Pure and the product area, delivering compelling presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THIS ROLE

  • Extensive experience in Product Management.
  • Proven ability to develop a vision, strategy, and execution plan while balancing short-term revenue needs and long-term product direction.
  • Familiarity with cloud business, SaaS, and associated use cases (file storage, NFS, and SMB protocols knowledge is preferred but not required).
  • Ability to manage the overall business aspects of the offering and serve as a spokesperson both internally and to external audiences (partners, analysts, customers).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to create programs, services, and ecosystem partnerships that provide end-to-end solutions for customers.
  • Knowledge of market and competitive analysis and the ability to create addressable market models.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Experience in taking products to market with a focus on business growth.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
  • Adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and projects.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and drive results.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a desire to collaborate with a world-class software engineering team.
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. An MBA is desirable.
  • Understanding of NAS vendors and ecosystem partners is preferred but not required.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
