Are you passionate about the intersection of finance and data analytics? Join Pure Storage’s Finance team as an intern and gain hands-on experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting, contributing to strategic decision-making that drives impact across the company.

This internship offers a unique opportunity for students eager to explore how finance and analytics drive operational excellence and business performance. You’ll work on impactful, data-driven projects across finance functions supporting R&D, Sales & Marketing, G&A. 

Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentorship from experienced professionals, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how each function contributes to Pure Storage’s success—while helping shape strategic initiatives and deliver tangible business outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Finance Intern at Pure Storage, you’ll be immersed in real-world finance initiatives and gain broad exposure to the critical work that drives strategic decision-making across the company. Your internship experience will include:

• Project Ownership:
  Take the lead on a high-impact project within the Finance organization. You’ll work cross-functionally to deliver insights or build scalable solutions that enhance financial operations and support decision-making. Your work will culminate in a final presentation to senior Finance leaders, providing visibility and real business impact.
• Real-World Experience:
  You’ll be at the center of meaningful financial work—contributing to both strategic initiatives and daily operations that power a fast-growing, innovative company. From building financial models and refining dashboards to driving automation and tackling real-time business questions, your work will shape decisions that matter. You’ll sharpen in-demand skills, work with cutting-edge tools, and gain exposure to how data becomes strategy—all while making a real impact from day one.

What You Bring To The Team

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related business field, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets & Slides, and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
• Experience with financial modeling, SQL, Python, or database programming is a bonus
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear insights
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with a collaborative, proactive mindset
• Familiarity with project management concepts and/or software (e.g., MS Project, Trello)
• Basic understanding of AI & chatbot
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Able to commit 20 hours per week during the academic year
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, open-office, team-oriented environment
• Potential for career development and growth within the company
• A passion for learning and contributing to team efficiency
• Open-minded, proactive, and willing to take initiative
