SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
You will lead the quality assurance function for our Portworx Data Management product. You will play a critical role in defining QA strategy, managing a global QA team, and ensuring our customers experience the highest levels of quality, reliability, and performance across our backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the QA efforts for Portworx Data Management solution components (specifically Portworx backup) end-to-end – functional, scale, performance, integration, and release validation.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing QA team distributed across geographies.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and customer success teams to ensure test coverage aligns with business priorities.
- Drive the development and execution of automated and manual test strategies.
- Own the QA process for continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
- Champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle, identifying risks early and establishing processes to mitigate them.
- Monitor product quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support release planning and provide go/no-go decisions based on quality gates and test outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of software QA experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience with cloud-native storage, backup, or data protection products (cloud-native or enterprise).
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, performance testing, and agile development.
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using Python, Golang, or shell preferred.
- Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in testing distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
- Exposure to Portworx or Pure Storage technologies.
- Experience managing QA for SaaS products and multi-tenant platforms.
