MTS - VIFA
We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE
As a Member of Technical Staff on our Modern Virtualization team, you will architect the bridge between industry-leading storage hardware and the cloud-native ecosystem. You will drive the evolution of our Pure Integration Controller, ensuring mission-critical Kubernetes, Nutanix, and OpenStack environments achieve seamless enterprise-grade mobility. Collaborating with global engineering hubs, you’ll solve complex distributed systems challenges that directly enable our customers to scale their most vital automated infrastructures.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Architect Cloud-Native Integration: Lead the design and implementation of CSI-based storage solutions that automate lifecycle management for FlashArray and FlashBlade within Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
-
Own End-to-End Feature Delivery: Drive the full engineering lifecycle—from initial design specs to high-performance Go/Java/Python production code and robust automated test suites—ensuring feature reliability for global enterprise deployments.
-
Optimize Distributed Systems: Debug and resolve sophisticated bottlenecks across the virtualization stack (Nutanix/OpenStack), directly impacting the performance and uptime of customer data fabrics.
-
Collaborate Globally: Partner with technical leads in Bangalore and Santa Clara to break down complex architectural requirements into executable projects, fostering a culture of high-code quality and engineering excellence.
-
Scale Automation Frameworks: Continuously evolve our CI/CD and testing infrastructure to decrease time-to-market for new storage features while maintaining 100% data integrity standards.
WHAT YOU BRING
-
Systems Programming Expertise: Advanced proficiency in at least two core languages (Go, Java, or Python) with a proven ability to write clean, concurrent, and highly maintainable production-level code.
-
Full-Stack Engineering Mindset: Demonstrated experience owning both the development and the comprehensive automated testing of complex software features, with a focus on building "self-healing" systems.
-
Distributed Systems Fluency: A deep understanding of Linux environments and the ability to navigate complex networking or storage interactions within distributed architectures.
-
Collaborative Problem Solving: A track record of participating in rigorous design reviews and working across time zones to deliver cohesive technical solutions.
-
On-Site Presence: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore, India office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

- Innovation: We celebrate those who think critically, like a challenge, and aspire to be trailblazers.
- Growth: We give you the space and support to grow along with us and to contribute to something meaningful. We have been named Fortune's Best Workplaces in Technology™, Fortune's Best Workplaces in the Bay Area™, and certified as a Great Place to Work®!
