Sr. Analyst, Finance - Processing Business Partner

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office per week) in Redmond, WA only

 

About the Role:

The Sr. Analyst / Sr. Analyst II on the Finance team will support key functions within the organization on aspects of goal-setting, revenue and cost insights, forecasting and performance management. This includes identifying underlying trends and consulting on strategic business decisions. Your role is to translate complex data into actionable insights, which means you can focus on the details and also solve big-picture challenges.

You will support the business by assisting with various analytical needs, providing decision support through analysis, generating internal reports, monitoring key performance indicators and scaling financial processes. We are looking for a high performing individual who will leverage data, finance, and strategy using an analytical, collaborative, results-oriented approach to drive progress.

As a key extended member of the Payments Processing department and its business and operational leaders, you will be a critical voice in formulating payment optimization KPIs, standards and best practices. As a primary focus area, you will contribute to improvement of unit economics of the Processing financial performance by analyzing, modeling, and implementing fee schedules in support of reducing cost of acceptance for clients and the business.

In this role, you can expect to quickly become an owner and driver of critical initiatives such as market/opportunity-sizing, attribution/ROI analysis, and a variety of strategic ad-hoc projects core to Pushpay’s strategy and underlying investment thesis.

  • Compensation Range: $117,000 - $135,200, depending on location.

Compensation ranges are determined by role and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, recommendations, risk, and/or conclusions to leadership
  • Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
  • Work cross functionally with the broader Finance team, the Processing team, the Customer Success team, Product team, GTM teams and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers and overall operations
  • Actively participate in the strategic planning, goal and target setting, and periodic planning processes
  • Assist in monthly close process, specific to assigned cost centers, along with support in monthly executive report deliverables
  • Identify and pursue continuous improvement in key areas of the business
  • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience; experience in payments processing is highly desired: Domain knowledge in Merchant Services (Acquiring, ISO, Payment Facilitator models) with data experience in cost of payment acceptance (e.g., attributes driving Merchant Fees - Interchange, Scheme, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Finance, or Data Science
  • Financial/data analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Exceptional spreadsheet skills with experience creating financial dashboards and models
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills (Google Slides or PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SQL to explore, query, visualize, and share data from any data sources
  • ROI analysis experience
  • Experience with CRM, dashboards, data reporting

 

 Physical Requirements: 

  • Required to stand or sit, reach, bend and move about the facility. Facility is a normal office environment with variation of temperature and lighting.
