We’re seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Strategic Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team and help us expand our footprint in key Dioceses nationwide.

 

About the Role

The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing and expanding relationships with high-value, large-scale accounts (~10k TMNR and up) with a focus on Dioceses. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, consultative selling, and deep understanding of the space. The ideal candidate will be able to uncover business challenges and deliver tailored solutions that drive customer success while achieving sales objectives.

  • Base Salary, $100k-$120k + $120k-$130k variable = $220k-$250k OTE

Compensation ranges are determined by role and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The following states are approved as remote work locations for this position: AZ, AR, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, WA, VA - All other states are not in consideration for this role at this time.

 

What You'll Do

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target and penetrate high-potential Dioceses within the Catholic space. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders. This includes 50% + travel. 
  • Solution Selling: Leverage deep product knowledge to provide consultative selling and demonstrate how Pushpay’s software can solve business challenges and drive value for Dioceses and parishes. 
  • Contract Negotiation & Closing: Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to closing, including proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closure while partnering with territory Account Executives and internal stakeholders. 
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Accurately forecast sales opportunities and report on pipeline status to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and a superior customer experience. 
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position Pushpay in the market.
  • Revenue Growth & Retention: Drive revenue through new customer acquisition as well as expanding business within existing accounts.

 

What You'll Bring 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience, with at least 2 years selling software or technology solutions to parishes and Dioceses. 
  • Proven Success: Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a demonstrated ability to close complex, high-value deals. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the software industry, SaaS solutions, and knowledge / experience of the internal operations of the Catholic church is ideal 
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to understand customer needs, craft customized solutions, and drive long-term partnerships. 
  • Consultative Selling: Expertise in consultative sales methodology, leveraging insights to influence decision-making at the C-suite level. 
  • Negotiation Skills: Skilled in contract negotiations and managing complex sales cycles. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and articulate complex software solutions clearly and persuasively. 
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and effectively communicate technical aspects of software solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
