Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology team which consists of a Manager of Information Technology, a Systems Engineer and a Help Desk Technician. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work with our internal MSP, MSSP, and management to maintain and administer technology infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise. You will collaborate with audit personnel regarding IT best practices and policies. You will provide exceptional support while interacting with business users from all departments. Success in this role means that you act as a team player and are interested in learning and contributing to the development of technology within financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
- Develop and design network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.
- Principal in charge of infrastructure and operations projects.
- Manage and oversee existing Horizon VDI environment, make recommendations and improvements .
- Oversee the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems, network devices.
- Oversee and manage monthly security patching process across environment.
- Prepare network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals, standards operating procedures.
- Collaborate closely with developers and data team to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, ensuring smooth operations of environments.
- Ensure constant availability of infrastructure and network technical resources.
- Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.
- Research, propose and implement potential technology improvements.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with department head and MSP on all firm IT infrastructure decisions.
- Satisfy technology requirements for audit purposes while maintaining documented records of change control activities.
- Participate as a member of the Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning team.
- Assist in the architecture and design of future cloud infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Must have experience in managing Horizon VDI infrastructure
- Proven track record in leading infrastructure projects
- Deep understanding of network infrastructure and design
- Track record of mentoring and coaching other members of the teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating automated scripts and software
- PowerShell experience
- Citrix, VMWare/Broadcom and SAN technology, SQL Server, Active Directory experience
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 USD Annually
The actual base salary may vary depending on factors, including, but not limited to location, work experience, education, training, skill level, and market conditions. At Pzena Investment Management, base salary is just one component of the total compensation, which may include, year-end discretionary bonus and employee benefits.
