IT Support Specialist Intern/Co-op

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking an IT Support Specialist Intern. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting employees in a Windows-based environment, from setting up user accounts and preparing devices to troubleshooting common issues and maintaining asset records. 

You’ll work alongside experienced IT professionals who can help you build your technical and communication skills. As you grow in the role, you may also have opportunities to explore networking, virtual environments, and Linux systems. 

The duration of this co-op will be 1/11/2027- 4/28/2027.

Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH for the Winter semester (January 2027 through April 2027) 
Clearance: All applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory 
  • Image and configure laptops and workstations 
  • Provide basic (Level 1) end-user support for common issues 
  • Track and update asset inventory 
  • Work with a helpful and experienced team on daily IT operations

 What You Might Explore (Optional/As You Grow): 

  • Linux HPC clusters 
  • Virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) 
  • Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting

 What We’re Looking For: 

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • Eagerness to learn and grow 
  • Basic familiarity with Windows OS and Office 365 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
