About Your Role 

As a Head of Testing - Time & Attendance within the Technical Delivery Services (TDS) team of QGenda CX, you are accountable for delivering timely and successful testing outcomes for our Time & Attendance customers. You will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive process for testing software configurations. You are responsible for leading a high performing team that delivers on key metrics, while serving as the subject matter expert for best practices related to implementation of the QGenda platform. Maintaining a high level of team morale and compliance is at the heart of this role!  This outstanding leader will cultivate relationships across all levels of the organization, including CX Leadership, Sales and Product teams, other cross-functional teams and leadership across QGenda.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

Responsibilities & Duties:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QGenda software testers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy and framework for Time & Attendance software configurations.
  • Establish and manage testing schedules, resource allocation, and project timelines.

Testing Strategy and Execution:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for payroll software applications.
  • Develop, monitor, and act upon key employee KPIs to drive efficiencies in implementation, platform knowledge, and overall QGenda education for those teams.
  • Ensure thorough testing of all aspects of QGenda, including functionality, security, performance, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand new features and changes, and ensure they are tested effectively.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Monitor and report on testing progress, defects, and overall software quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to QGenda software functionality and performance.
  • Ensure that testing processes and practices comply with industry standards and legal requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and payroll systems.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Cross functionally collaborate to ensure testing & acceptance delivery not only executes on its own objectives, but cross functional and corporate objectives as well.
  • Communicate test results, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration and performance of payroll software.
  • Work with other QGenda leaders, teams within TDS, customers, and external teams  to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Responsible for TDS delivery testing metrics & reporting to the VP and executive teams.
  • Serve as the leadership level of escalation on behalf of their team both internally and for customers.
  • Completes other duties as directed by a member of QGenda management/leadership.

Who You Are 

  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies that enable teams to execute at high levels.
  • Ability to interface at all levels within an organization from C-level to individual contributors.
  • Excellent ability to clearly articulate and gain buy-in on strategy and concepts that move the organization forward.
  • High degree of competency developing, leading, and inspiring support/services-focused teams to overachieve goals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Experience You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing a software configuration testing process, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role focused on payroll or financial software.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems.
  • Experience with various testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., manual, automated, performance testing).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is $116,000 USD to $167,000 USD, and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education and other relevant factors for a potential new employee. This job is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
