WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong product-centric mindset who understands that quality solutions stem from deep collaboration with our Product team. In this role, you'll partner closely with Product to analyze customer needs and craft innovative, high-quality software that addresses real-world problems. Your technical expertise, aligned with strategic product insights, will ensure that our engineering solutions not only meet but exceed customer expectations.

You'll drive the development of new features and modernize our suite of applications. With a focus on autonomy and innovation, you'll lead the charge in bringing cutting-edge ideas to life, enhancing our products for tens of thousands of users. Projects include building modern REST APIs, integrating latest technologies, and updating the user interface.

You've been in the industry for a while and have a proven track record of getting it done. You are comfortable taking full responsibility for complex, high-liability projects where the impact of the quality of your work matters. You've dealt with the consequences of your mistakes, and know how to fight fires as necessary. You've thrived in many different environments and realize that each team is unique.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver value by providing solutions that effectively address customer needs, drive business objectives.
  • Lead the conception, design, and implementation of new features and enhancements to our Windows desktop, our API, and our server software products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and prioritize feature development.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Communicative with team members and comfortable talking to customers, either to debug their problems, gather feedback or present solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and conduct necessary research to ensure the scalability and performance of our solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, maintainability, and scalability.
  • You’ll play a key part in modernizing our tech stack and architecture.
  • You’ll work on diverse software integrations, payment-processing systems, and other new features. 

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

  • You are a strong full-stack engineer and app developer with 8+ years of C# experience.
  • You love DevOps principles, testing, observability, and automating all the things.
  • You have worked on both modern and legacy systems.
  • You have worked on both SaaS and OnPrem systems.
  • We value engineers who have good product sense, attention to detail, and passion for the impact of the software they build.
  • We also value engineers who truly care – who care about the quality of their work, their teammates, clients, support, and sales staff. We look for engineers who are always willing to help.
  • You have made key design decisions for large projects and can discuss and implement design patterns and train junior engineers on them.
  • You have mentored junior developers.
  • You have led features and initiatives before in your engineering past.
  • You have worked on multiple engineering teams, both small and large.
  • We're open to exploring remote possibilities for qualified candidates. 

This role has a base annual salary of $150,000-$175,000 plus a competitive equity and benefits package. (Salary to be determined by relevant experience, location, knowledge, and skills of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
