Contract Senior Project Manager

About the Role 

Qualified Digital (QD) is seeking a Contract Senior Project Manager to lead key strategic accounts and deliver projects that meet our clients’ business goals, timelines, and budgets. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams—including strategy, design, development, and marketing—to manage all project activities from concept through delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong technical and problem-solving skills, is decisive under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You take full ownership of your projects, balancing quality, efficiency, and communication. Equally important, you know how to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with both clients and QD team members.

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract

  • Rate Range: $55–$65 per hour (USD)

  • Expected Start Date: Immediately

  • Expected Duration: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension

  • Expected Hours: 20 hours per week to start, with the ability to increase to 30–40 hours

  • Location: Remote (U.S. or Canada only)

  • Timezone: Flexible, but must be available during standard business hours to attend internal and client meetings

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of website and digital experience projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects

  • Define and manage project activities, milestones, dependencies, and duration to ensure timely delivery

  • Request and coordinate appropriate resources to meet project scope, budget, and timeline requirements

  • Collaborate with strategy, design, development, and QA teams to ensure clear understanding of objectives and seamless execution

  • Serve as the primary client contact, managing communications, expectations, risks, and escalations

  • Understand and articulate the client’s strategic objectives, proposing solutions that anticipate needs and drive measurable impact

  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to maintain alignment among all internal and external stakeholders

  • Plan and manage all project communications, ensuring transparency and accountability

  • Identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks, resolving conflicts and clearing roadblocks proactively

  • Monitor and report on project health, milestones, deliverables, and financial performance

  • Promote high standards of professional integrity and quality across all deliverables and client engagements

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and operational efficiency within the PMO

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within a digital marketing, martech, or customer experience environment

  • 5+ years of experience in a digital or creative agency environment

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) — including redesigns, migration projects, authoring, and translation processes (required)

  • Proven track record managing website builds and web application projects from concept through delivery

  • Strong understanding of web development workflows, CMS platforms, and UX/design principles

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

  • Experience gathering business requirements and producing clear, actionable documentation

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across strategy, design, development, and QA teams

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Google Workspace

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications are a plus
