Job Summary:
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and scale our cloud infrastructure powering AI solutions for major health systems. You'll architect and manage multi-tenant Azure environments, build robust Terraform automation, and maintain Databricks data platforms that process clinical data at scale. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll ensure our healthcare clients operate in fully isolated, compliant environments while enabling seamless data analytics and AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain multi-tenant Azure infrastructure for healthcare clients, ensuring complete isolation between environments for security and compliance
  • Develop and maintain modular Terraform codebases with environment-specific configurations, shared modules, and isolated state management per client
  • Build and manage Databricks workspaces including Unity Catalog integration, cluster policies, storage credentials, and Access Connector configurations
  • Implement data platform architecture including ADLS Gen2 storage with medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers) and Delta Sharing capabilities
  • Configure and troubleshoot cross-tenant data sharing using Microsoft Fabric and Delta Sharing protocols
  • Manage network security including private endpoints, NAT Gateway configurations, and secure connectivity for external data sources
  • Maintain Azure Key Vault integrations for credential management, service principal configurations, and secrets rotation
  • Collaborate with healthcare IT teams on data sharing requirements, connectivity configurations, and compliance needs
  • Develop infrastructure patterns for rapid client onboarding while maintaining security and isolation requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues across Azure services, Databricks workspaces, and data pipelines

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Platform Engineering
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform including module development, state management, and multi-environment architectures
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure services including Resource Groups, ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, and NAT Gateway
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks including workspace administration, Unity Catalog, cluster management, and storage credentials
  • Understanding of data platform concepts including medallion architecture, Delta Lake, and data sharing protocols
  • Experience with identity and access management including Azure AD, service principals, managed identities, and RBAC
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for infrastructure deployment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose complex cross-service issues
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with external healthcare IT teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare industry with understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements
  • Multi-cloud experience with GCP and/or AWS in addition to Azure
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data sharing and analytics
  • Familiarity with data replication architectures (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and CDC patterns
  • Experience with Python for automation and scripting
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Azure Monitor)
  • Previous experience building multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure

Pay & Benefits: The pay range for this role is between $160,000 and $210,000, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
