Job Summary

The Product Leader owns and drives strategic relationships with senior healthcare executives while leading the discovery, design, development, and deployment of AI-powered assistants and workflow automation solutions powered by LLM technologies. This client-facing role requires traveling to health system sites to conduct discovery sessions, deeply understand complex clinical and operational workflows, and translate those insights into validated AI product opportunities.

The Product Leader is responsible for the full product lifecycle—from initial stakeholder alignment and workflow mapping through rapid prototyping, deployment, and evaluation. They translate strategic alignment with clients into effective, scalable tools that transform business operations, ensuring solutions are grounded in real-world healthcare environments.

The Product Leader learns and internalizes the client’s needs;  exploring workflows, prototyping solutions, and de-risking ideas prior to engineering investment. They ensure the right problems are solved to achieve measurable operational and clinical impact.

The ideal candidate combines management consulting or product leadership experience with a strong technical understanding of LLM-powered applications, a creative problem-solving mindset, and the executive presence required to navigate complex C-suite conversations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Discovery & Development

  • Collaborate with health system leadership to identify high-value AI use cases 
  • Design AI solutions by interviewing end users, understanding user requirements, mapping workflows, and defining data integration requirements. 
  • Create engineering-ready artifacts to communicate product specifications
  • Optimize products to improve value and engagement metrics
  • Leverage internally built no-code / low-code AI tools to rapidly prototype and deploy AI solutions
  • Validate prototypes with frontline users to ensure alignment with real-world workflows and measurable operational impact
  • Partner closely with Technical Product Managers and Engineering teams for product development 

Client Leadership

  • Own executive product relationships with VP- and SVP-level stakeholders at major health systems
  • Present product roadmaps, business cases, and success metrics to C-suite executives and steering committees
  • Navigate complex healthcare organizational dynamics and build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on AI strategy, implementation, and long-term value realization

 

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Evaluate AI assistant outputs for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with client needs
  • Troubleshoot and iterate on products throughout the development lifecycle
  • Lead user testing sessions and incorporate feedback into product refinements
  • Coordinate rollout plans including user training, communications, and ongoing support
  • Ensure successful deployment and adoption of AI solutions across multiple clients

 

Strategic Engagement 

  • Partner with Product Leadership to integrate the product into the broader platform product strategy 
  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy, pricing models, product positioning, and product marketing
  • Create case studies, ROI analyses, and thought leadership content
  • Build products to be scalable and follow a standardized template for deployment across new and existing clients
  • Analyze product performance data and client feedback to inform product roadmap decisionsConduct data analysis to support business cases and measure product impact
  • Document best practices and contribute to internal knowledge sharing


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related technical field
  • 3-8 years of experience in management consulting, client engagement, and/or product management
  • Healthcare industry experience (health systems, healthcare technology, or consulting with healthcare clients)

 

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA from a top-tier business school
  • Experience building and scaling AI products from 0 to 1
  • Deep expertise with generative AI technologies
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows, clinical terminology, EHR systems (Epic, Cerner), and health system AI environments
  • Technical proficiency with Python, SQL, or data analysis tools
  • Experience with design thinking, user research methodologies, and agile product development
  • Track record of driving measurable business outcomes (cost savings, efficiency gains, revenue growth)

Travel Requirements

  • This role requires significant travel to healthcare client sites, often for extended engagements. Candidates should be prepared for up to 20-40% travel, depending on active projects.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $250,000. Compensation will be determined based on level within this job category, as well as your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
