About the position

Sitting within Qualitas’s AI Transformation Office, this role works alongside the Process & Automation Lead to turn redesigned workflows into production-grade solutions. You will build, test, deploy, and maintain AI-powered pipelines, integrations, automations, and data flows that the business relies on daily. Working across our full AI and automation stack, from Azure infrastructure and Python API services to LLM evaluation pipelines and low-code automations, you are the person who makes things work. You will also serve as a key bridge between technology and the business, translating process redesigns into working solutions and supporting real user adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy LLM-powered workflows including prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, multi-agent orchestration, and structured output parsing
• Develop evaluation and guardrail frameworks for AI outputs including automated testing, human-in-the-loop review pipelines, quality scoring, and regression detection
• Deploy and manage AI workloads on Azure (Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Key Vault), configuring endpoints, managing token budgets, and monitoring latency and cost
• Build integrations between AI systems and business platforms via REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns; design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to move, transform, and reconcile data across systems
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), logging, telemetry, and alerting; configure low-/no-code automations (Power Automate, Make/Zapier, Logic Apps) where they are the right tool
• Work directly with business users during UAT and post-deployment to demonstrate solutions, gather feedback, and iterate until adoption lands
• Translate process redesigns into technical requirements, solution architecture, and delivery plans; maintain reusable components, prompt templates, and deployment documentation

What you’ll bring to the role

• 5+ years in software development, data engineering, or AI/automation roles with demonstrated experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications
• Strong Python development including async patterns, API frameworks (FastAPI/Flask), data libraries (pandas, polars), and testing (pytest)
• Hands-on Azure cloud experience (Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Key Vault), owning configuration and operational health
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns; confident with relational databases, query optimisation, and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Proven end-to-end ownership from requirements through production deployment and user adoption; experience working directly with business users, not purely in engineering silos
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience; a portfolio of relevant work carries equal weight
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain technical decisions to non-engineers and document work clearly
