
Staff Accountant
We are hiring for our accounting team at Quality Glass and Mirror Service. We are a high growth, market leader in glass fabrication and installation in the greater Omaha Area. As a member of our accounting team at Quality Glass, you will have an opportunity to participate in the full scope of our accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, inventory management, and fleet management. Quality fabricates industry-leading glass products for interior and exterior applications for a variety of projects across commercial, residential, and education customers. In this role you will participate in:
- Accounts Payable: Record and process vendor invoices, ensure accurate payment terms, and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts: Record and deposit customer payments, prepare daily cash reports, and reconcile cash accounts.
- General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and other accounting adjustments, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Asset Management: track and account for vehicle and heavy equipment repairs and maintenance, usage and maintenance schedule, and downtime monitoring.
Background and Experience Required:
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and get to the root cause of discrepancies
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred experience:
- Prior work experience in the glass industry or knowledge of different types of glass and aluminum products, including tempered, laminated, insulated, and decorative glass
- Experience with process improvement or improving efficiency of high-volume tasks through automation
