Senior Manager, External Communications and Social Media

Quantum-Si is seeking a passionate Senior Manager of External Communications and Social Media to join the Commercial Marketing team.  In this role, you will lead and execute our external communications strategy.  This role is critical in shaping our narrative, managing our presence, and engaging with diverse audiences, including investors, customers, prospects and the media.  The ideal candidate will understand the investor space, be skilled in crafting compelling messages for various audiences, and have experience writing for senior leadership, including our CEO.   

 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:  

  • Develop and implement an integrated external communication strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and enhances its reputation across key audiences, including investors, customers and media.  
  • Collaborate with investor relations team to craft clear, compelling messaging or social media for quarterly earnings reports, investor presentations, and other financial communications. 
  • Executive communications: Write, edit and prepare communications on behalf of the CEO, and other senior executives as requested, including speeches, op-eds, external messages and social media content.  
  • Support team in maintaining key media contacts and manage responses to media inquiries. Coordinate and support CEO during media interviews. 
  • Lead the strategy, planning, content development and execution of social media campaigns across platforms; driving engagement and expanding digital presence and followers across company channels, inclusive of managing CEO’s multiple social media accounts.    
  • Monitor social media trends and provide insights to optimize content and reach.  
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our brand, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences. This position will be required to support amplifying the CEO’s voice in industry discussions.  
  • Respond to comments and messages, initiate outbound engagement, and build engaged online communities on a global scale. 
  • Track and analyze the performance of communication efforts, providing regular reports to senior leadership with actionable insights for continuous improvement.   
     

Qualifications 

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes: 

  • 7+ years of experience in external communications, public relations and social media management in a corporate environment for a publicly traded company.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism. May also have a degree in one of the life sciences.  
  • Understanding of the investors’ space, financial communications and public company requirements.  
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear compelling messages for various audiences. 
  • Proven experience in social media strategies and the following platforms: X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube 
  • Ability to work with and write for C-level executives with experience in developing executive communications.   

 

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Chemistry 
  • MBA 

 

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $130,000 - $170,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position,  an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
