IT Systems Administrator
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience managing complex systems, with a strong background in AWS, network management, Linux and Windows administration, Microsoft 365, Azure, backup solutions, SaaS application management, and on-premises infrastructure.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Manage and maintain complex IT systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Oversee network infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Administer Linux and Windows servers, ensuring security and compliance with best practices.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS environments, including user management, security, and resource optimization.
- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Oversee SaaS applications, ensuring seamless integration and operation within the IT ecosystem.
- Maintain on-premises infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and implement robust cybersecurity measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support lab and manufacturing device management.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Minimum of five years of experience managing complex IT systems, including networks.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of backup solutions and data recovery processes.
- Experience managing SaaS applications and on-premises infrastructure.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment, directly interfacing with users.
Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!)
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles.
- Biotech lab device and manufacturing management.
The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $110,000 - $130,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
