Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Network & Information Systems Administrator to design, implement, secure, and maintain the enterprise IT infrastructure that powers Quantum Space's engineering, manufacturing, and corporate operations. In this role, you will combine systems administration, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management to ensure the availability, security, and performance of mission-critical information systems supporting spacecraft development and business operations.

Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, security, and corporate teams, you will play a key role in supporting secure collaboration, regulatory compliance, and technology innovation across the organization. This position is ideal for an IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building secure, scalable infrastructure supporting advanced aerospace programs.


You'll Make an Impact

  • Design, deploy, secure, and administer enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and software-defined networking (SDN) technologies
  • Monitor and maintain network and systems performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Manage virtual networking and infrastructure hosted within Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud environments
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, storage platforms, virtualization environments, backup systems, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), identity lifecycle management, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies
  • Manage enterprise endpoint deployment, system configuration, software distribution, patch management, and lifecycle maintenance
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ITAR, and industry best practices
  • Monitor security events, investigate incidents, coordinate remediation activities, and support vulnerability management initiatives
  • Administer file services, permissions, data storage, backup strategies, and business continuity processes
  • Support engineering software licensing, CAD environments, and specialized technical applications supporting spacecraft development
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, infrastructure documentation, asset inventories, system configurations, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support for engineering, manufacturing, and corporate users
  • Coordinate with vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners to resolve infrastructure and security issues
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization projects, technology deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support cybersecurity audits, compliance activities, and government contracting requirements

What It Takes

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience administering enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and systems
  • Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID environments
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VPN technologies, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and enterprise networking principles
  • Experience administering virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies
  • Experience implementing enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop environments and enterprise endpoint management
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or government contracting organizations
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), ITAR, and other government cybersecurity compliance frameworks
  • Experience administering Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar enterprise networking technologies
  • Experience managing Linux server environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Experience developing automation and administrative scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools
  • Industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one

Base Salary: $125,000 - $155,000

The salary range for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including work experience, education, technical expertise, certifications, critical skills, and business needs. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are considered part of Quantum Space's total compensation package.


Additional Requirements

To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
