Technical Recruiter (Contract)

Rockville, MD or Tulsa, OK

Quantum Space is redefining mobility and maneuverability in space. Our high-mobility spacecraft platforms support national security, civil, and commercial missions with unmatched flexibility and propulsion capability. We build fast and iterate quickly.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a Technical Recruiter to help build the team shaping the future of space mobility. The pace is intense, the talent bar is high, and every hire matters. You will partner directly with hiring managers to identify, engage, and close talent across engineering, manufacturing, mission operations, and corporate functions.

This is a hands-on role for someone who moves with urgency, takes full ownership, and is relentless in finding exceptional talent. Success requires an all-in, mission-first mentality, the ability to build pipelines for highly specialized roles, and the drive to deliver at an accelerated pace without compromising quality.

This role is open to contract only with eligibility to convert.

Where You'll Make an Impact

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting across a variety of technical and business functions, including engineering, manufacturing, program management, and operations
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring strategies, and candidate profiles
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates through multiple channels
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Manage candidate communications and ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process
  • Conduct candidate screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring teams
  • Advise hiring managers on market trends, talent availability, compensation expectations, and recruiting best practices
  • Meet recruiting metrics expectations, pipeline activity, and hiring progress
  • Represent Quantum Space at industry events, career fairs, university recruiting events, and networking opportunities

What It Takes

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience within aerospace, defense, space, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior leaders
  • Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse ATS, and other recruiting platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and move with urgency
  • Relentless drive to identify, engage, and close exceptional candidates at an unprecedented pace without compromising the bar for talent
  • A mission-first mentality and deep sense of ownership, with the understanding that every critical hire directly impacts the success of the mission
  • An all-in mindset. This is not a 9-to-5 recruiting role. We need someone who is energized by ambitious goals and does whatever it takes to deliver
  • Resourcefulness and persistence. You don't wait for great candidates to come to you. You find them, build relationships, overcome obstacles, and keep pushing until the right person is hired
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate independently, make decisions quickly, and collaborate effectively across teams

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience supporting hiring in startup or high-growth environments
  • Experience recruiting candidates requiring security clearances or working within export-controlled environments
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking and talent market trends

What You'll Get

  • Ownership – Direct impact on building the team that will shape the future of space mobility
  • Impact – Partner closely with executive leadership, hiring managers, and technical teams across the organization
